THE BAR OF THE RULE OF LAW SHOULD BE SET HIGHER

Related to country: South Africa

If Molemo Maarohanye better known as jub-jub is behaving and acting like a moron, that constantly fills the cooler box with goodies and add ice tubes to keep them goodies cold, subsequently when all the cold goodies in the cooler box are finished . He then decided to embark on an illegal racing event with his cooler box buddies, whilst they at it kill four innocent and young ambitious souls.

You don’t act in such manner and expect the public to forgive you by merely singing “ndikhokhele bawo zundikhokhele ndikhokhele meli wami ezintsizini zalomhlaba bawo” means “lead me oh lord in the darkest hours of my life” in actual fact the full length of the arm of the law must take its cause, and your lawyers will lead your case.

It is very important for the state not to miss this opportunity to set precedence over this case and an example out of the culprits, simply because they are perceived to be public figures, to educate its citizens that even if you are a musician, magician or an ordinary civilian no one is above the law. More so the state must us this as a case study module to teach the upcoming youth that aspire to be these celebrities and public figures that; regardless of an amazing talent you have and probably a prosperous future ahead of you, However that will cease to be inevitable if your conduct is against the law.

I personally always maintain that our government and media house missed an opportunity to address this issue to the society and being honest and real to the cause of Brenda fassie’s death, she was the country’s renowned and loved artist by everyone, but in actual fact she had bad habits, that eventually claimed her life from her loved once and the country at large.

Logic tells me that you must be honest in order to be true and kind.

May her souls rest in peace.
And Jub jub rot in jail.

In Defense of Animals, I hold a self allotted proxy on their behalf….

Related to country: South Africa

It’s been almost 23hrs later now, as the mother cow resists giving in to the reality that her recently born cattle will not make it through another day… Hopelessly crying and seeking assisted to mankind, in an open semi-urban neighborhood with no luck, as human beings just carried on business as usual.

From an African point of view I expect a lot of respect for domestic animals as we use them for a number of reasons, especial for cows/bull. We use them for rituals, celebrations, thanks giving to our ancestors and more. However we are very indigent and careless in our approach of taking care of the same set of animals we utilize to connect to our ancestors.

I was shocked to have learnt that King Zwelithini of the zulu’s segment in the NGUNI tribe, has revived the annual killing of the bull with bare hands, before I am misunderstood I am not shocked by the offering to the Gods, but I was just thinking: is it really how gods wants to receive this noble ritual? , probably dented and shapeless. Actually it makes one wonder why this ritual was discontinued before in the first place?

The point I want to highlight is that, if we use money to better our lives and enable a prosperous future for our families and generations to come, clearly that means in our quest of acquiring wealth we must have a very diligent approach of using it, so to sustain our preferred objectives.

Therefore, if we are not, behaving reasonable and treating these needed animals with the respect and welfare they deserve, in future we won’t have jack-shit as thanks giving to our ancestors and no traditional rituals to be conducted, I tell you…

However if we change the status core then, we are cool with the animal farm…

I prefer lamb chops... Thank you!

CONGRATULATING THE AFRICAN FATHERHOOD OF THE AGE…

Related to country: Denmark

In South African context, the recent history has advocated and affirmed that, regardless of the setbacks during the apartheid era and colonial rule. No love was lost between africans, nevertheless time to render emotions and affection was compromised and substituted with the advancement of the cause.

Father’s would go and work in mines and urban economic active cities, leaving the loved ones behind , Driven by the principle that the man is the head of the household and to that effect he must be practical and seek a better life for the family.

In the process the father would delegate the social responsibilities to be carried through by the mother, while he will be off for employment reasons and to an extent that created a vacuity of affection between the father and his offspring’s.

Conversely, in the new democratic order as we are trying to push back the frontiers of colonial rule and its after effects, I have to confess that we are experiencing the direct contrary and I feel the need to equally applaud the African father’s of the egalitarian age, as they have learnt to constantly show affection to those around them, and that then void has been filled by democratic rights and freedom of movement. Leading to more proactive father’s that are hands on in daily living life of their loved one’s

I see ex-guerillas whom back in the days surrendered their fatherhood responsibility to fast track the liberation phase through warfare system, now in the democratic order they form part of the state security cluster, and after their daily duties, they take their kids, for soccer trainings and dancing classes. Such an amazing site.

As I surrender, I must reaffirm that freedom has created a platform for unity and cohesion primarily in families and that has been a desire of all AGES…..

An African Father…

THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA CONSTITUTION BILL 1996! THE GOOD, THE BAD AND ANTI-AFRICAN!!!

Related to country: South Africa
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

In South Africa we are recently following and observing a very interesting story were a young African man was forced to undergo a tradition transition to manhood against his will.

The law fraternity best describe the case as a dispute between customary law VS the constitution.

It is very clear constitutionally, that the young-man has a case. No one should be force to participate in any initiatives unwillingly.

Having stated the above, on the affirmative I have a very interesting questions, where are we taking this country and the African continent at large? Are we developing the ideal global village in the expense of the local village and its founding principle? Is she going to be proud about the compromise of our traditional premise, precipitated by the adoption of the bourgeoisie influenced human rights policies?

Judge John Hlope once made a reflective statement as he was proposing a complete and throughout, cultural transformation of the judiciary and its composition. He went further and says as African we must have our laws based on African laws not Dutch laws.

We are indeed living in a very critical epoch of our lives, were we must make amendments to safeguard, defend the African interest and protect her children and the next generation, today.

We are told that South Africa has the best human rights policy in the world; however it is not complementing the fundamental that defines why we are Africans.

I personally and truly envy the delegation in pre 1994, which represented political parties as they partake in the CODESA negotiation and ultimately under a number of setbacks they manage to formulate a policy framework to take us forward. Eventually it was adopted by the constitutional assembly of “THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA CONSTITUTION BILL 1996” Cape Town, 8 MAY 1996.

In layman’s term it means that we ought to accommodate the disindigenous families in the house of PHALO, SHAKA, MOSHOESHOE and other African kingdom, as if this was not enough. We are expected to cease our customs the only thing that is left and best define our being, and make way for, homogeneous policy in the interest of the extended kingdom. What puzzle me the most in a post 1994 the supposing democratic order everyone wants to be an African without in true essence living like one, who is then African and who is not?
